HID Global’s Bin Tag UHF features a passive contactless transponder designed to communicate with a reader via radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The Bin Tag UHF is specifically designed for Waste Management applications of plastic bins, with a form factor being compliant to DIN30745. The tag is highly water, chemical and shock resistant and fits into the standard tag test of most plastic bins. The tag is easy to insert and hard to remove without special tools. Compared to other Bin Tags operate usually in the low frequency area, the UHF bin tag offers a much higher read-range (up to 6.5ft or 2m) and large memory capacity to read/write customer specific data directly on the tag. Featuring 512 bits user memory and 96 bits EPC number, the tag offers anti-collision functionality, fast data rate communication and a large read range compared to its size. Additionally the Bin Tag UHF is compliant with EPC global-certified UHF Gen 2 readers and modules. Features
